১০০) সূরা আদিয়াত (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ), আয়াত সংখ্যাঃ ১১

          بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيم

وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا       (1     

শপথ উধৰ্বশ্বাসে ধাবমান অশ্বরাজির

          By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath),     

(1)

وَٱلْعَٰدِيَٰتِ শপথ ধাবমান (ঘোড়াগুলোর) By the racers

ضَبْحًا (যারা দৌঁড়ায়) উর্ধ্বশ্বাসে panting

 

فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا        (2     

অতঃপর যারা ক্ষুরের আঘাতে অগ্নি-স্ফুলিঙ্গ বিচ্ছুরিত করে

          Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves) 

(2)

فَٱلْمُورِيَٰتِ অতঃপর যারা বিচ্ছুরিত করে And the producers of sparks

قَدْحًا  (ক্ষুরাঘাতে) আগুনের ফুলকি  striking

 

فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا      (3     

অতঃপর যারা অভিযান করে প্রভাতকালে

          And scouring to the raid at dawn

(3)

فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ  অতঃপর যারা অভিযান চালায়  And the chargers

صُبْحًا  প্রভাতে  (at) dawn

 

فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِ نَقْعًا  (4     

ফলে তারা তা দ্বারা ধূলি উৎক্ষিপ্ত করে

          And raise the dust in clouds the while, 

(4)

فَأَثَرْنَ  অতঃপর উড়ায় Then raise

بِهِۦ  এভাবে  thereby

نَقْعًا  ধুলোবালি  dust

 

          فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِ جَمْعًا       (5     

          অতঃপর তা দ্বারা শত্রু দলের অভ্যন্তরে ঢুকে পড়ে।   

          Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe);

(5)

فَوَسَطْنَ  অতঃপর (ঢুকে পড়ে) অভ্যন্তরে Then penetrate (in the) center

بِهِۦ  এভাবে  thereby

جَمْعًا  (শত্রু)দলে  (of) troops

 

          إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنُودٌ         (6     

নিশ্চয় মানুষ তার রবের প্রতি বড়ই অকৃতজ্ঞ

          Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord;

(6)

إِنَّ  নিশ্চয়ই  Indeed

ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ  মানুষ  mankind

لِرَبِّهِۦ  তার রবের প্রতি to his Lord

لَكَنُودٌ  অবশ্যই অকৃতজ্ঞ (is) surely ungrateful

 

          وَإِنَّهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ (7     

আর নিশ্চয় সে এ বিষয়ে সাক্ষী

          And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds)

(7)

وَإِنَّهُۥ  এবং সে নিশ্চয়ই  And indeed he

عَلَىٰ  বিষয়ে  to

ذَٰلِكَ  এর  that

لَشَهِيدٌ  অবশ্যই সাক্ষী  surely (is) a witness

 

وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ         (8     

আর নিশ্চয় সে ধন-সম্পদের আসক্তিতে প্রবল

          And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 

(8)

وَإِنَّهُۥ  এবং নিশ্চয়ই সে  And indeed he (is)

لِحُبِّ  মহব্বতের ক্ষেত্রে  in (the) love

ٱلْخَيْرِ ধন-সম্পদের  (of) wealth

لَشَدِيدٌ  বড়ই প্রবল  (is) surely intense

 

أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي الْقُبُورِ       (9     

তবে কি সে জানে না যখন কবরে যা আছে তা উত্থিত হবে,

          Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 

(9)

أَفَلَا  তবে কি না  But does not

يَعْلَمُ  সে জানে  he know

إِذَا  যখন  when

بُعْثِرَ  উঠানো হবে  will be scattered

مَا  যা কিছু  what

فِى  মধ্যে আছে  (is) in

ٱلْقُبُورِ  কবরগুলোর  the graves

 

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُورِ       (10   

আর অন্তরে যা আছে তা প্ৰকাশ করা হবে?

          And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 

(10)

وَحُصِّلَ  এবং প্রকাশ করা হবে  And is made apparent

مَا  যা কিছু  what

فِى  মধ্যে আছে  (is) in

ٱلصُّدُورِ  অন্তরসমূহের  the breasts?

 

          إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌ     (11   

নিশ্চয় তাদের রব সেদিন তাদের ব্যাপারে সবিশেষ অবহিত।

          Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds).     

(11)

إِنَّ  নিশ্চয়ই  Indeed

رَبَّهُم  তাদের রব  their Lord

بِهِمْ  তাদের সাথে  about them

يَوْمَئِذٍ  সেদিন  that Day

لَّخَبِيرٌۢ  অবশ্যই তা ভালো করেই জানেন  (is) surely All-Aware
