إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ

(1

যখন সেই অবশ্যম্ভাবী ঘটনাটি ঘটবে,

When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls.

إِذَا

যখন

When

وَقَعَتِ

ঘটবে

occurs

ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ

ঘটনাটি (কিয়ামত)

the Event

لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ

(2

তখন তার সংঘটন অস্বীকার করার কেউ থাকবে না

And there can be no denying of its befalling.

لَيْسَ

না (হবে)

Not

لِوَقْعَتِهَا

তার সংঘটনের (ব্যাপারে)

at its occurrence

كَاذِبَةٌ

কোনো অস্বীকারকারী

a denial

خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ

(3

তা কাউকে ভূলুণ্ঠিত করবে এবং কাউকে করবে সমুন্নত।

It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt;

خَافِضَةٌ

(তাহবে কাঊকে) অবনতকারী

Bringing down

رَّافِعَةٌ

(আবার কাঊকে) সমুন্নতকারী

raising up

إِذَا رُجَّتِ الْأَرْضُ رَجًّا

(4

যখন যমীন প্রকম্পিত হবে প্রবল প্রকম্পনে।

When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake.

إِذَا

যখন

When

رُجَّتِ

প্রকম্পিত করা হবে

will be shaken

ٱلْأَرْضُ

পৃথিবী

the earth

رَجًّا

(প্রবল) কম্পন

(with) a shaking

وَبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا

(5

আর পর্বতমালা চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ হয়ে পড়বে।

And the mountains will be powdered to dust.

وَبُسَّتِ

এবং ছিন্নভিন্ন করা হবে

And will be crumbled

ٱلْجِبَالُ

পাহারসমূহকে

the mountains

بَسًّا

ছিন্নভিন্ন করার মতো

(with awful) crumbling

فَكَانَتْ هَبَاء مُّنبَثًّا

(6

অতঃপর তা বিক্ষিপ্ত ধূলিকণায় পরিণত হবে।

So that they will become floating dust particles.

فَكَانَتْ

অতঃপর তা হবে

So they become

هَبَآءً

ধূলিকণা

dust particles

مُّنۢبَثًّا

বিক্ষিপ্ত

dispersing

وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ثَلَاثَةً

(7

আর তোমরা বিভক্ত হয়ে পড়বে তিন দলে।

And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups).

وَكُنتُمْ

এবং তোমরা হবে বিভক্ত

And you will become

أَزْوَٰجًا

ভাগে বিভক্ত

kinds

ثَلَٰثَةً

তিনটি

three

فَأَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ

(8

সুতরাং ডান পার্শ্বের দল, ডান পার্শ্বের দলটি কত সৌভাগ্যবান!

So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise).

فَأَصْحَٰبُ

লোকগুলো অতঃপর

Then (the) companions

ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ

ডান হাতের

(of) the right

مَآ

কি (ভাগ্যবান)

what

أَصْحَٰبُ

লোকগুলো

(are the) companions

ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ

ডানহাতের

(of) the right?

وَأَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ

(9

আর বাম পার্শ্বের দল, বাম পার্শ্বের দলটি কত হতভাগ্য!

And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell).

وَأَصْحَٰبُ

এবং লোকগুলো

And (the) companions

ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ

বামহাতের

(of) the left

مَآ

কি (দুর্ভাগা)

what

أَصْحَٰبُ

লোকগুলো

(are the) companions

ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ

বামহাতের

(of) the left?

وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ

(10

আর অগ্রগামীরাই অগ্রগামী।

And those foremost [(in Islâmic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islâm,] will be foremost (in Paradise).

وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ

এবং অগ্রবর্তীরা (তো)

And the foremost

ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ

অগ্রবর্তীই

(are) the foremost

أُوْلَئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ

(11

তারাই (আল্লাহর) নৈকট্যপ্রাপ্ত

These will be those nearest to Allâh.

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ

তারাই

Those

ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ

নৈকট্যপ্রাপ্ত

(are) the nearest ones

فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ

(12

তারা থাকবে নিআমতপূর্ণ জান্নাতসমূহে

In the Gardens of delight (Paradise).

فِى

(তারা থাকবে) মধ্যে

In

جَنَّٰتِ

জান্নাতের

Gardens

ٱلنَّعِيمِ

সুখের

(of) Pleasure
