ইয়া-সীন

Yâ-Sîn. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings.]

وَالْقُرْآنِ الْحَكِيمِ

(2

শপথ হিকমতপূর্ণ কুরআনের

By the Qur’ân, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs),

وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ

শপথ কুরআনের (যা)

By the Quran

ٱلْحَكِيمِ

জ্ঞানময় (বিজ্ঞানময়)।

the Wise

إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ

(3

নিশ্চয় তুমি রাসূলদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত

Truly, you (O Muhammad SAW) are one of the Messengers,

إِنَّكَ

তুমি নিশ্চয়ই

Indeed you

لَمِنَ

অন্তর্ভুক্ত অবশ্যই

(are) among

ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

রাসূলদের।

the Messengers

عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

(4

সরল পথের উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত

On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allâh’s religion of Islâmic Monotheism).

عَلَىٰ

(তুমি প্রতিষ্ঠিত) উপর

On

صِرَٰطٍ

পথের

a Path

مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

সরল সঠিক

straight

تَنزِيلَ الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ

(5

(এ কুরআন) মহাপরাক্রমশালী, পরম দয়াময় (আল্লাহ) কর্তৃক নাযিলকৃত।

(This is) a Revelation sent down by the All­Mighty, the Most Merciful,

تَنزِيلَ

(এই কোরআন) অবতীর্ণ করা

A revelation

ٱلْعَزِيزِ

পরাক্রমশালীর (পক্ষ হ’তে)

(of) the All-Mighty

ٱلرَّحِيمِ

(যিনি) পরম দয়ালু

the Most Merciful

لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّا أُنذِرَ آبَاؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَافِلُونَ

(6

যাতে তুমি এমন এক কওমকে সতর্ক কর, যাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে সতর্ক করা হয়নি, কাজেই তারা উদাসীন।

In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless.

لِتُنذِرَ

সতর্ক করো তুমি যেন

That you may warn

قَوْمًا

(এমন) জাতিকে

a people

مَّآ

না

not

أُنذِرَ

সতর্ক করা হয়েছে

were warned

ءَابَآؤُهُمْ

তাদের পিতৃ-পুরুষদেরকে

their forefathers

فَهُمْ

অতএব তারা

so they

غَٰفِلُونَ

উদাসীন (হয়ে আছে)

(are) heedless

لَقَدْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلَى أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

(7

অবশ্যই তাদের অধিকাংশের উপর (আল্লাহর) বাণী অবধারিত হয়েছে, ফলে তারা ঈমান আনবে না।

Indeed the Word (of punishment) has proved true against most of them, so they will not believe.

لَقَدْ

নিশ্চয়ই

Certainly

حَقَّ

অবধারিত হয়েছে

(has) proved true

ٱلْقَوْلُ

(শান্তির) বাণী

the word

عَلَىٰٓ

উপর

upon

أَكْثَرِهِمْ

তাদের অধিক অংশের

most of them

فَهُمْ

সুতরাং তারা

so they

لَا

না

(do) not

يُؤْمِنُونَ

ঈমান আনবে

believe

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ أَغْلاَلاً فَهِيَ إِلَى الأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ

(8

নিশ্চয় আমি তাদের গলায় বেড়ি পরিয়ে দিয়েছি এবং তা চিবুক পর্যন্ত। ফলে তারা ঊর্ধ্বমুখী হয়ে আছে।

Verily! We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to chins, so that their heads are forced up.

إِنَّا

নিশ্চয়ই আমরা

Indeed We

جَعَلْنَا

আমরা লাগিয়েছি

[We] have placed

فِىٓ

উপর

on

أَعْنَٰقِهِمْ

তাদের গলায়

their necks

أَغْلَٰلًا

বেড়িসমূহ

iron collars

فَهِىَ

তা তাই

and they

إِلَى

(রয়েছে) পর্যন্ত

(are up)to

ٱلْأَذْقَانِ

চিবুকগুলো (শৃঙ্খলিত হয়ে)

the chins

فَهُم

তারা এজন্য

so they

مُّقْمَحُونَ

ঊর্ধ্বমুখী (হয়ে আছে)

(are with) heads aloft

وَجَعَلْنَا مِن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُبْصِرُونَ

(9

আর আমি তাদের সামনে একটি প্রাচীর ও তাদের পিছনে একটি প্রাচীর স্থাপন করেছি, অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে ঢেকে দিয়েছি, ফলে তারা দেখতে পায় না।

And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see.

وَجَعَلْنَا

এবং আমরা খাড়া করেছি

And We have made

مِنۢ

থেকে

before them

بَيْنِ

সামনে

before them

أَيْدِيهِمْ

তাদের

before them

سَدًّا

প্রাচীর

a barrier

وَمِنْ

ও থেকে

and behind them

خَلْفِهِمْ

তাদের পিছন

and behind them

سَدًّا

প্রাচীর

a barrier

فَأَغْشَيْنَٰهُمْ

তাদেরকে আমরা এভাবে ঢেকে দিয়েছি

and We covered them

فَهُمْ

তারা অতএব

so they

لَا

না

(do) not

يُبْصِرُونَ

দেখতে পায়

see

وَسَوَاء عَلَيْهِمْ أَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ

(10

আর তুমি তাদেরকে সতর্ক কর অথবা না কর তাদের কাছে দু’টোই সমান, তারা ঈমান আনবে না।

It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe.

وَسَوَآءٌ

এবং সমান

And it (is) same

عَلَيْهِمْ

তাদের পক্ষে

to them

ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ

তাদের তুমি সতর্ক করো কি

whether you warn them

أَمْ

বা

or

لَمْ

নি

(do) not

تُنذِرْهُمْ

তাদের সতর্ক করো তুমি

warn them

لَا

না

not

يُؤْمِنُونَ

তারা ঈমান আনবে

they will believe

إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكْرَ وَخَشِيَ الرَّحْمَن بِالْغَيْبِ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَأَجْرٍ كَرِيمٍ

(11

তুমি তো কেবল তাকেই সতর্ক করবে যে উপদেশ মেনে চলে এবং না দেখেও পরম করুণাময় আল্লাহকে ভয় করে। অতএব তাকে তুমি ক্ষমা ও সম্মানজনক পুরস্কারের সুসংবাদ দাও।

You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Qur’ân), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allâh) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise).

إِنَّمَا

প্রকৃতপক্ষে

Only

تُنذِرُ

সতর্ক করো তুমি

you (can) warn

مَنِ

(তাকে) যে

(him) who

ٱتَّبَعَ

মেনে চলে

follows

ٱلذِّكْرَ

উপদেশ

the Reminder

وَخَشِىَ

ও ভয় করে

and fears

ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ

দয়াময়কে

the Most Gracious

بِٱلْغَيْبِ

না দেখা অবস্থায়

in the unseen

فَبَشِّرْهُ

তাকে সুতরাং দাও সুসংবাদ

So give him glad tidings

بِمَغْفِرَةٍ

ক্ষমার

of forgiveness

وَأَجْرٍ

ও প্রতিফলের

and a reward

كَرِيمٍ

সম্মানজনক

noble

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَآثَارَهُمْ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أحْصَيْنَاهُ فِي إِمَامٍ مُبِينٍ

(12

আমিই তো মৃতকে জীবিত করি আর লিখে রাখি যা তারা অগ্রে প্রেরণ করে এবং যা পিছনে রেখে যায়। আর প্রতিটি বস্তুকেই আমি সুস্পষ্ট কিতাবে সংরক্ষণ করে রেখেছি।

Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihâd (holy fighting in Allâh’s Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book.

إِنَّا

নিশ্চয়ই

Indeed We

نَحْنُ

আমরা

We

نُحْىِ

জীবিত করবো (একদিন)

[We] give life

ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ

মৃতদেরকে

(to) the dead

وَنَكْتُبُ

এবং আমরা লিখে রাখি

and We record

مَا

যা

what

قَدَّمُوا۟

তারা আগে পাঠিয়েছে

they have sent before

وَءَاثَٰرَهُمْ

ও তাদের কীর্তিসমূহ (যা পিছনে রেখেছে)

and their footprints

وَكُلَّ

এবং প্রত্যেক

and every

شَىْءٍ

জিনিস

thing

أَحْصَيْنَٰهُ

তা আমরা সংরক্ষণ করেছি

We have enumerated it

فِىٓ

মধ্যে

in

إِمَامٍ

একটি কিতাবের

a Register

مُّبِينٍ

সুস্পষ্ট

clear
